Asylum for conscientious objectors

The Norwegian government declared 14 Ukrainian regions are “safe” despite ongoing Russian aggression2 and decided that Ukrainian men aged 18-60, with certain exceptions, will no longer be granted temporary collective protection in Norway3. Certain politicians explicitly called to deny asylum to those who list “avoiding mobilization” as the reason for seeking protection4.
